Who we are

EP Plumbing & Heating (Fife) Limited is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. This means we decide how and why that information is used.

Information we collect

When you contact us through this website, by telephone, email or Facebook, we may collect your name, address or postcode, email address, telephone number, details of your enquiry and any information you choose to provide about the property or work required.

Please do not send sensitive personal information through the website enquiry form.

How and why we use it

Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business and responding to customers. We do not use enquiry details for marketing without separate permission.

Who receives your information

Website enquiry submissions are processed by FormSubmit and delivered to our business email account. FormSubmit states that submission records may be retained by it for up to 30 days. Our email and hosting providers may also process limited information on our behalf. Where a job requires another trusted trade, we will only share relevant details when necessary to arrange the requested work and will explain this where appropriate.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become customer work are normally retained for no longer than 12 months. If you become a customer, relevant records may be kept for longer where needed for the contract, safety, warranty, accounting, tax, insurance or legal purposes. Information is deleted or securely disposed of when it is no longer required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, or request transfer of information you supplied. You may contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
